Featuring commissioned portraits in plaster and bronze. The bronze of 'Vincent' was prompted by the desire for a more enduring form of memorial. The 'Lyrebird' is in stoneware and copper, and would be at home in a quiet corner of a native garden (the background is not part of the sculpture). While 'Athena' in stoneware, and 'Auriel' in ceramic, use the particular characteristics of each material to give expression to the qualities most suited to the subject. |
